Flight Training
Student Pilots
As a student pilot, you will be given instruction on all things aviation as it pertains to RC aircraft. You will be flying mostly on a buddy box (two transmitters connected together, 1 for the instructor, and the other for the student) this enables the instructor to take and give control as necessary to keep the aircraft flying safely and to give the student peace of mind while learning to fly.
Solo Flight
Upon nearing completion of your flight training, you will work towards flying solo (no buddy system). The instructor will evaluate that you have the knowledge and skill to safely fly and operate the aircraft. After a successful series of tests including taxiing, take-off, flying a pattern, touch and go’s, and landing, you will now be signed off as an RC Pilot and will be able to fly solo at any AMA sanctioned field!

For more information on Flight Training, and how to get started, please feel free to come out to our field for our Student Nights, and/or contact our Chief Flight Instructor Steve Seltmann via this address. (stevesfb@msn.com)
Student Nights happen weekly on Thursday evenings during the summer around 6:00 pm. If you do not have your own plane, no need to worry, PMAC instructors can provide trainer planes for you. Come out and join us in learning more about the incredible world of RC aviation.
